Customs boat spotted on Helford River!

Not the La Mouette, the French pirate ship in Daphne du Maurier’s novel Frenchman’s Creek, instead our customers were treated to a customs boat on the 26th August this year!

The HMC Searcher is one of five ships patrolling UK boarders. She is a HMC UKBF 42m Customs Cutter Class measuring nearly 43 metres long and was built in The Netherlands in 2002.

She was one of two HMC Cutters who siezed £80m worth of cocaine from a fishing vessel off the coast of Falmouth on the 18th August!  One of the UK’s largest hauls!

Helford River Cruises run daily throughout the year. To book simply contact us and payment can be made online.
